The SBI Life Maharashtra State Schools Chess Championship kicks off in Mumbai with Round 1 now underway. This seven-round Swiss event draws India's sharpest young talent competing at 60 minutes plus 30 seconds per move. The pace allows for sharp, fighting chess rather than rapid blitzing.
